About Laurie Sterbens

Laurie Wood Sterbens is a recovering newspaper journalist who began her career chasing firetrucks through the Ozarks and wound up as a food editor in Florida. Her experiences as a journalist and mom inspired her first novel, Black, White, and Dead All Over, a comical mystery featuring an amateur sleuth food editor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing Popular Fiction and is a member of Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, and the Florida Writers Association. When not in her kitchen or at her keyboard, she can be found enjoying the outdoors with her husband and son.
